Hekinan Distillery, established in 1949, quickly became a leading producer of Japanese whisky through the 1950s. After two historic natural disasters in the mid and late 1950s the distillery closed in 1959. After many years dormant we restarted production in 2014. Under the direction of our master sake brewer we built a unique pot still that produces a true expression of Japanese whisky.
This Japanese blended whisky, called HINOTORI, is a symbol of our revival, meaning Phoenix in Japanese. It was created with care and passion. Please enjoy this maiden five-year-old blend.
