Product Description
As the fifth release in the Barrel Select series, this small-batch single malt explores the innovative and nuanced flavors that different cask finishes can offer. This particular expression, finished in French Calvados casks, is the first of its kind from Glenmorangie, infusing the classic Scotch with notes of orchard fruits and floral subtleties, revealing new mellow depths.
Under the guidance of Dr. Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie's Director of Whisky Creation, this exquisite whisky initially matured in American white oak bourbon casks, is transferred to ex-Calvados casks for a final maturation period. These casks, which previously held fine Calvados from Normandy for 20 years, impart layers of complex fruit flavors and floral nuances to the whisky.
