Glasgow 1770 Peated
This rich and smoky single malt is one-third of Glasgow Distillery Companies Signature Range. Double distilled with peated malted barley, this smoky single malt has been matured in virgin American white oak before finishing for eight to twelve months within Spanish Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads.
With notes of smoky BBQ sauce, dark fruits, and flamed orange zest, this is a perfectly balanced single malt that marries sweet smoke and sherry cask influence.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Sweet smoke and rich toffee with notes of vibrant vanilla, dried dark fruits and cracked black peppercorn spice with subtle hints of flamed orange.
Palate: Tobacco leaf, rich dark toffee and cacao nibs on a background of sweet soft peat and gentle earthy undertones with subtle herbaceous notes of sage.
Finish: Long and smooth with notes of salted caramel, liquorice, and lingering spice.
