Single malt whiskey from Del Bac distillery. finished in Sherry Casks.
Frontera is an annual limited collection of Whiskey Del Bac Classic aged in new American White Oak, then finished an additional 13 months in Pedro Ximénez Sherry botas. The American single malt is named after the medieval city, Jerez de la Frontera, which sits on what was once the edge of Spain and is known as the world capital of sherry wine. There are 900 bottles nationwide. Each has an ABV of 47.5% and is 95 proof.
Tasting notes:
On the nose, you may find raisin, walnut and crushed red grapeskin. On the palate, you may taste heavy vanilla, stone fruits, followed by bright acidity, finishing with lingering honey, oak and leather. The recommended serving for Frontera American Single Malt is with one large ice cube.
