It was felt that this Tullibardine was slightly lacking when we tasted it back in 2021. The team decided that re-racking into Palo Cortado would bring this spirit to life, and that it did! This whisky features notes of chocolate orange, dried apricots, salted caramel truffles and nutmeg.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Chocolate orange, syrup, liquorice

Flavor: Dark chocolate, Maraschino cherries. dried apricot & dried mango

Finish: Coffee, salted caramel truffles, nutmeg, chalky

Tullibardine Information

Located in the village of Blackford (sometimes referred to as "The Gateway to the Highlands"), Tullibardine Distillery started life as a beer brewery that was favoured by King James IV of Scotland before it would eventually become a whisky distillery in the late 1940s - although distilling had been briefly tried on several occasions before this.

Tullibardine has gone through numerous changes in ownership since then and has enjoyed its fair share of ups and downs but today it takes pride of place in the Cadenhead's range and we have proudly bottled several whiskies from this distillery.
