Royal Brackla was the first distillery in Scotland to be granted a royal warrant by King William IV and, to this day, is one of only three distilleries in Scotland to hold the royal title. Typically light and fruity, re-racking into Fino casks in March 2022 has influenced this spirit perfectly, giving a floral layer alongside manuka honey, orange peel and pink grapefruit.
Historically known for its smoky spirit - although that has changed over time - Royal Brackla was founded in 1817 by Captain William Fraser.
This made Fraser deeply unpopular with the moonshiners in the area but his whisky was a great success, gaining a fan in King William IV - the whisky became known by some as "The King's Own Whisky."
These days, the spirit is known for its fresh fruitiness and strong nose.
