Over the past few years, our seasonal small batch releases have showcased the signature Lochlea style in four different ways. As a working farm, these expressions tie-in with exactly what is happening here at that time of year.
Fallow Edition (Third Crop) is the third in a new and final set of four limited editions, marking the end of our Seasonal trilogy. We have matured our signature Lochlea spirit in fresh 1st-fill Oloroso Sherry Butts, and the liquid is one year older than the 2023 Edition. The different cask makeup highlights our distillery’s progression as the last in the popular Sherry-influenced Fallow trilogy.
Nose: Delightful baked apple and sweet medjool dates.
Palate: Manuka honey and nutty fresh malted bread.
Finish: Rich buttery sandalwood oils and mixed peppercorns.
