25TH ANNIVERSARY RELEASE - CLOSED DISTILLERY
This SINGLE GRAIN Scotch whisky is one of only 232 bottles drawn at CASK STRENGTH, bottled July 2020. Built by John Moubray in Alloa in 1806 on the site of a former mill.
Up until 1836 it produced malt whisky but was then converted to grain with the addition of 2 Stein patent stills. In its heyday, Cambus’s whisky was highly regarded by blenders. Closed in 1993 as part of Diageo's reorganisation, the site now houses the company's cooperage.
Blackadder RAW CASK is whisky as it always was. Whisky as it used to be. Every drop is WHISKY FROM THE OLD SCHOOL. Blackadder does not believe in chill-filtering or in colouring whisky. Quite simply, Blackadder RAW CASK is every bit a Blackadder whisky but even more so. Each and every bottle of Blackadder RAW CASK contains its own share of the CASK SEDIMENT, as well as NATURAL OILS AND FATS that might otherwise be left behind when filling a cask strength whisky straight from cask.
