Bourbon: Bourbon is American whiskey with a mashbill of minimum 51% corn and aged in new oak barrels.
Rye: Rye is generally an American whiskey with a mashbill of minimum 51% rye and aged in new oak barrels.
Single Malt Scotch: Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made with 100% malted barley and produced from a single distillery(a mixture of different distilleries is a Blended Malt, a mixture of different grains is a Blend). Scotch is aged for a minimum of 3 years and 1 day in oak barrels, either new or previously used. Used barrels can have previously be used for bourbon ageing, holding wines, sherry, port, rum, etc.
