    You can taste the sea

    The first time I enjoyed Bunnahabhain was on my birthday in Stirling a few years ago. It was delightful to sip after an excellent dinner, while relaxing enjoying a fine cigar. A lovely whisky.

    Well-balanced, smooth Islay

    Wonderfully balanced and smooth for an Islay, while still smoky and peaty as expected. Light palate, not oily in the least. would be a great apéritif, but can also close out a meal.

    My Scot mates and I discovered the Bunnahabiain in New Zealand. One mate was most familiar with the whole Islay scene, that he named his daughter Islay. That speaks a thousand words.
